What I’m most looking forward to in Heaven

There are a lot of things that I’m looking forward to about Heaven. The sun will always shine, there will be no more sickness, we will all be perfect, and there will be no more suffering or pain. These are just a few of the things that I’m looking for to about Heaven.

However, hands-down, the thing that I am looking most forward to is the colors of Heaven. By colors, I mean the colors people. Heaven will have men and women from all races and all colors of skin. It will be a smorgasbord of the beauty of mankind. Everything that is good, and distinct, and beautiful about someone’s culture or ethnicity will be on display forever in Heaven. How do I know this? Because every tribe, nation, language, and tongue will be present in Heaven!

 Preached in every nation

Revelation 14:6 tells us that God sends his angels to ensure the message of Jesus has been preached to every tribe of people on earth. I believe this angel is the church. I believe this angel is Jesus’ church. So when Jesus’ church has reached every tribe of people on earth then Jesus is ready to end human history, as we know it. Then Jesus is ready to be worshiped by every tribe of people on earth.

Think about the colors of skin that will be with you in Heaven. Think about the different languages that you will hear spoken in Heaven. Think about the different cultures that you’ll be able to experience in Heaven. Think about the incredible variety of smells at the banquet table of Heaven. Think about all that is good in your culture on display forever in Heaven. This diversity is what I’m most looking forward to in Heaven!

Purchased from every nation

Revelation 5:9 described the scene in the throne room of God. It describes Jesus, God’s hero, opening the scroll that no one else on earth is able to open. It describes Jesus being worshiped by all of the creatures, elders, and angels in Heaven. And when Jesus opens that scroll this verse describes men and women from every tribe, nation, language, and tongue praising Jesus for who he is and what he’s done for them.

Jesus’ blood was not just shed for the Jew. Jesus didn’t just ask the Father to forgive the Roman soldiers who killed him. Jesus’ death was not just for a few people, at one moment in human history. This verse teaches us that Jesus’ death was for all that would come to him in faith throughout human history. Jesus seeks to be worshiped by every tribe, nation, language, and tongue on this planet.

Praise from every nation

Revelation 7:9 describes an amazing party that will last forever in Heaven. The crowd in Heaven will be awesome! You will see men and women from every walk of life. You will meet people from every era of human history. Every race and every culture on planet Earth will shout the praises of King Jesus in Heaven!

The colors of Heaven will be spectacular. Yes, there will be white robes. Yes, there will be green palm branches. The greatest colors of all are the diverse skin colors that you and I will see in Heaven.
