Pouring Gas on Your Inner Fire

Don’t send me your school science report—I already know that you should never pour gasoline on a lit fire. But when it comes to describing Steven Pivnik’s unique tenacity, it’s like pouring gas on an inner fire. His persistence is not just a flame; it’s a raging inferno that refuses to be extinguished by any obstacle.

I kept thinking about the word Tenacity during my Unbeatable Podcast interview with Steven. Like a raging inner fire, tenacity is the quality of being persistent in the face of obstacles or challenges. It’s the ability to keep going, even when the odds are stacked against you. Tenacity is rare in today’s technology-obsessed world.

Inner fire thrusts you over obstacles

Life is a rollercoaster, and those who refuse to give up often reach the top. Tenacity is the fuel that propels us forward, whether we’re pursuing personal goals, professional aspirations, or overcoming obstacles. It’s not just a trait; it’s a key to success.

One key aspect of tenacity is staying focused on long-term goals despite short-term setbacks. It’s about understanding that failure is not the end but rather a stepping stone on the path to success. When faced with challenges, those with tenacity don’t crumble—they rise to the occasion, finding new ways to navigate the road ahead.

Inner fire pulls you back from failure

Steven knows how to bounce back from failure. Tenacious people don’t quit after failure but view it as an opportunity to learn and grow. They understand that setbacks are part of the journey and use them as motivation to push even harder. It’s this mindset that separates the tenacious from the rest—they refuse to let adversity define their future.

Everyone I know hates failure. The fear of failure can lead even the most determined individuals to start doubting their goals and dreams. Some people are so consumed with a fear of failure that they choose never to take personal or professional risks in life. This reluctance to risk is a guarantee of mediocrity in life. Every great endeavor in life comes with risks. Sometimes, you will fail. Rather than run from failure, like Steven, use it as a powerful teaching tool to help you perform better the next time around.

Inner fire spreads to others

Tenacity is not just a personal attribute; it’s a catalyst for change. It has the power to inspire and motivate others. Seeing someone display unwavering determination in the face of adversity sparks a fire within them. This ripple effect creates a culture of resilience and perseverance, where everyone is driven to achieve their best, regardless of the circumstances. Steven is a model for anyone who has a big dream for their life.

Every lofty goal will face hard times and failure. Tenacity is the vital ingredient for success. It’s the ability to maintain unwavering determination, persist through challenges, and inspire others with a never-give-up attitude. So, let’s embrace the power of tenacity and harness it as a driving force in our personal and professional pursuits.
